About Fougner Solutions

Mark’s work experience has centered around water treatment equipment & chemicals.  Past positions include technical sales, applications engineer, purchasing manager, and IT manager.  He has worked for Kurita America, Baker Hughes, Suez Environmental, FLSmidth, and Bridgepoint Systems.  His work experience has been in the following industries: water treatment, petrochemical, ethanol, power, oil & gas, chemical distribution, mining, and pulp & paper.  He now represents ClearStream Environmental which is owned by engineers he worked with at WesTech – his first engineering job!

Experienced Energy Specialist who has spent the last ten years helping develop the next generation of energy, process, and energy distribution employees while teaching at the National Energy Center of Excellence (NECE), Bismarck State College. Erin has a comprehensive knowledge of power generation, process technology, petroleum production, and energy distribution. Her previous industry experience (15 years) allowed her to gain a solid understanding of all the various plant systems and related equipment prior to her current role. This experience along with her formal education (Bachelor of Science) helps her collaborate with colleagues and other professionals in the industry to provide solutions to complex problems.

Todd Seibel has a passion for teaching.  As an Associate Professor he developed the NECE curriculum for 29 different courses including Hydrocarbon Chemistry, Thermodyamics, Water Treatment, Plant Equipment Systems, Electrical Fundamentals, Applied Math, I&C, Steam Generation, Mechanical Fundamentals, and Safety.  He was the writer/contributor for 7 Bismarck State College technical textbooks.  Prior to teaching he had a career as an Operator/Lab Technician at Basin Electric’s Antelope Valley Station and worked 11 years in an Outside Sales Role.  Fougner is delighted to have Todd servicing our technical customers.

Mike trained in electronics in the USAF and spent four years working in the defense industry after leaving the military.  He transitioned his career to the power industry.  He trained and worked as an operator and E&I technician working at multiple plants.  After earning his business degree, he was promoted to an operations supervisor.  He worked 20+ years in the power industry.  With his expertise he began working for engineering firms doing consulting work.  Project management and instrumentation & control design is where he excels.  Just prior to working for Fougner Engineered Solutions, Mike taught energy and automation courses at Bismarck State College for 4 years.

Over forty years Mark Fougner began his career as a mechanical engineer.  As Mark excelled in engineering and sales, he was recruited by a manufacture’s representative firm.  A few years later Mark founded his own company.  Forty plus years later, Fougner Engineered Sales, Inc. represents dozens of principals and leading manufacturers in five States.

Carolyn wears many hats at Fougner taking the lead with purchasing and logistics.  She is a licensed CNA and has excellent communication and problem solving skills!  Past jobs include cashier, preschool teacher, server, CNA, CMA.  We are delighted to have Carolyn on our team!

Benson has a strong passion for business and technology. At a young age, he started a balloon-twisting business, earning more in tips than many adults. He later founded a carpet cleaning company. Seeking a change of pace, he transitioned into automotive sales, where he developed and refined his customer service skills.  Today, Benson owns and operates DakotaHomeOutlet.com. In his spare time, he supports Fougner by running marketing campaigns and providing IT and inside sales support.

Jessica Silva works part-time at Fougner in graphic design and marketing. She has a degree in illustration, over four years of sales and marketing experience in the custom apparel industry, and is currently pursuing a computer science degree. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, hiking, and attending concerts with her husband.

Kadin is fluent in spanish and has studied web and graphic design. He assists the sales team with marketing campaigns, software tools and inside sales efforts. Kadin works part-time as he is studying to become a financial planner.

Jim has 30 years of engineering experience as a process & system engineer, mechanical component design (PFD, P&ID, Solidworks), water treatment design,  and system start-up, commissioning and troubleshooting.  Has consulted on numerous process systems for the power, mining, petrochemical, food & beverage, water treatment, and pulp & paper industries.
